How do I get started?
The first step is to schedule a “get acquainted call.” In this call, we will discuss the challenges you are experiencing, the services that I offer and how I work with my clients. In essence, this call allows both of us to make sure we are a good fit. If we are not going to be able to work together, I will be happy refer you to someone else who can help.
What are your fees?
The fee varies based on the services you request and will be discussed prior to your appointment. For psychotherapy payment is due at the end of each session. For coaching, payment is due on a monthly basis. There is a 24-hour cancellation policy. Failure to do so will result in being billed for the missed session.
Do you accept insurance?
No. I do not accept insurance because the practices of managed care companies conflict with ethical values of my practice, especially with regard to confidentiality of client information and fiduciary responsibility to the HMO rather than the client. However, I will provide a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you choose to do so. If you plan to submit for reimbursement, I suggest that you contact your insurance company prior to your initial session to obtain specific information about your out-of-network benefits.
